We are launching a new program of replacing traditional bucket water pulley system with locally made hand dug wells for both low income communities and schools.

The locally made hand water pump can work both on hand dug wells and boreholes as well. These pumps are made of locally available materials including waste rubber/old tiers & they are 2 to 4 times cheaper than imported hand pumps like afridev.

For just $250 a school or a community can replace the traditional way of drawing water from a well with a fully functioning low cost hand water pump and the well cover.

We hope to minimize contamination of drinking water in the well, improve the security of the well as well as allow anyone to draw water efficiently.

It has the following characteristics:

  • The rubber water pump system can pump from wells or borehole of up to a depth of 120 ft.
  • Pump flow rate is 60l/min
  • Fits on any type of hand dug wells and boreholes with casing of 2 to 6 inches
  • Can be retrofitted into existing hand dug wells & boreholes.

It can be integrated with a low pressure irrigation system
