The 100% Plant-Based Cake & Cupcake Culinary Training Program was a groundbreaking hands-on experience aimed at equipping Kenyan women chefs and culinary instructors with advanced plant-based baking techniques. This specialized training focused on dairy-free, egg-free cake and cupcake production to ensure participating chefs are able to create delicious, moist and indulgent baked goods without animal-based ingredients.
Participants explored innovative plant-based substitutes, mastered sustainable ingredient selection and perfected the art of baking fluffy, flavorful cakes and cupcakes that cater to the growing demand for healthier, ethical and eco-friendly desserts. From achieving the perfect rise to enhancing texture and taste, the program ensured that plant-based cakes and cupcakes could rival, if not surpass the traditional Kenyan recipes.
Beyond baking skills, this initiative empowered participating culinary instructors to introduce plant based culinary training option in their respective schools
